One of my friends was once resignedly sitting through a science exam that he knew he couldn't pass. One question required him to draw a bar chart, which he did (presumably not very well).
The paper then asked, for one additional mark, 'Give your bar chart an appropriate title'.
IMHO, the kid who demonstrated that gender determination in cats does not require an advanced understanding of Mendelian genetics should have got a little more credit.
