Passing the Britishness test
Last night, as I was making my way through a crowded room, someone accidentally elbowed me in the stomach (not hard).
I said “Sorry”.

I can relate to that very well. I almost always apologise in such situations, often feeling a bit stupid about doing so afterwards. But I can't help myself.
1977 vintage, British, lacking in class. Tendencies towards cynicism and naivety. Intermittently GSOH. Fan of beer, cats, comedy, cake, politics, philosophy, sunshine and stuff. Bit of a lefty.

And no, I'm not Canadian. I can fake it though.
I didn't realise, I thought it was uniquely British.
